Mozilla Firefox 5.0 Free Download For Mac

When we published the first Web Browser Grand Prix back in March of 2010 (Web Browser Grand Prix: The Top Five, Tested And Ranked), we really hit the ground running and got right to the testing. It occurred to us that we never really gave an overview of each browser; we just assumed (probably justly so) that everyone was already familiar with the top five Web browsers. We didn't foresee how popular this series was going to become and the number of more mainstream folks (non-geeks) who would tune in. So, we figured it's about time that we properly introduced the contenders. Feel free to grab the latest version of the Web browsers from our new downloads section with the links in the table below.

Yes, Brave is completely free to use. Simply download the Brave browser for desktop, for Android, or for iOS to get started. You can also use Brave Search free from any browser at search.brave.com, or set it as your default search engine.

Safari 5 is available for both Mac OS X and Windows as a free download at www.apple.com/safari. Safari 5 for Mac OS X requires Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8 or Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 or later. Safari 5 for Windows requires Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista or Windows 7, a minimum 256MB of memory and a system with at least a 500 MHz Intel Pentium processor. Full system requirements and more information on Safari 5 can be found at www.apple.com/safari. The Safari Developer Program is free to join at developer.apple.com/programs/safari.

If you use Mac OSX and fancy checking out alternatives to MS Internet Explorer, give Chimera a shot. I'm using it at the moment, and am finding it a good-looking program that's blisteringly fast. It's certainly better than the full Mozilla for my needs, and I'd say its speed - alone - is enough to have me considering making it my first choice browser. There are a few minor user interface issues that need tackled - like you need to open the sidebar to properly organise bookmarks - but it's looking very promising for a piece of software that's only at 0.5 (beta) stage. It's a free 7.3Mb download.

You can use it via the web interface [1], or by hooking into the Tenon API [2].Firebug can be plugged into Firefox on Windows, OSX and Linux [3]. I haven't used it on OSX though, so can't vouch for whether it's usable with VO or not.Accessibility Inspector is similar to aViewer, but it runs on OSX/iOS. It comes with Xcode which is a free download from the app store [4].Léonie.[1] [2] [3] [4] -- Senior accessibility engineer @PacielloGroup @LeonieWatson

I can help walk you through using AXe and FireEyes from Deque with ascreen reader, as well as how to use Firebug effectively with a screenreader. In fact we are working on an online resource where we plan to collectall this knowledge. The official announcement of that effort will beposted to this list soon, once we have some CSUN feedback and havesome basics going.CheersOn 9/27/15, Dylan Barrell wrote:> aXe is a small JavaScript library that runs everywhere and also has> extensions for Firefox and Chrome>> -core/blob/master/README.md> -US/firefox/addon/axe-devtools/> >> --Dylan>> On Sep 27, 2015, at 7:08 AM, Léonie Watson > wrote:>>>> From: WebAIM-Forum On Behalf Of Sean Murphy>>> Sent: 26 September 2015 21:11>>> I am on the hunt for tools and tips for someone who is blind in>>> performing>>> accessibility review compliance on web pages. Thanks everyone. I will check out the new resources and the suggestions. It appears no one on this list is using Soate testing suite. Since I am interested in finding out if anyone has used it with Jaws.Sean > On 28 Sep 2015, at 5:13 am, Birkir R.
